The ‘SOLIST - German’ model is designed as a ‘German model’ and is therefore particularly well suited to the more open, shorter, and narrower German channels.

The metal templates used in the machine production of clarinet reeds are manufactured in a unique way using the latest laser and computer technology, achieving a degree of accuracy of 1/1000 mm. Thanks to specially developed planer blades and cutting angles determined by computer simulation, Alexander Pilgerstorfer has succeeded in producing the smoothest cuts and reed undersides. All ‘Pilgerstorfer clarinet reeds’ are therefore absolutely symmetrical, which greatly improves their vibration behavior.
